Our founders, Lexi and Leia—a pair of spirited Maltese sisters—started this journey with a vision to bring fresh, wholesome food to their fellow pups. These four-legged entrepreneurs know what dogs crave, so with a little help from their human parents, they set out to create meals that are all-natural, ultra-fresh, and extremely tasty.
Every day, Lexi and Leia oversee the kitchen to ensure each meal is made from real, healthy ingredients and delivered the very same day, unlike their competition that may sit on store shelves for weeks (or longer). When Kelsie married Alex's brother, she became step-mother to a Maltipoo named Baxter. Soon after, Alex and his partner adopted Levi, a Cavamalt.
When Levi was about a year old, Alex wanted to get Levi a sibling to play with. Everyone thought he was crazy for wanting another dog besides Kelsie, who took it upon herself to search for dogs available for adoption. She found a cute litter of Maltese puppies and went with Alex to pick up Lexi. Naturally, a day or two later Kelsie began to want a second dog of her own, which is when Alex and Kelsie went back to pick up Leia. Not wanting to be left out, they even adopted another, Boomer, for Alex's mom as a retirement present.
All in all, Alex, Kelsie, and Alex's mom all have two dogs, including one of the litter mates. While family get togethers are a little chaotic with six dogs in the mix, we wouldn't have it any other way!
